These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and PrepPeasy (“PrepPeasy,” “we,” “us”) covering your use of the PrepPeasy mobile app, the website at preppeasy.com, and everything we offer through them (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
PrepPeasy is a family grocery and cooking app. You and the people in your household share one weekly list: anyone can add meals and items by typing, by voice, or by importing a recipe from a link or a photo. PrepPeasy turns those meals into the ingredients you actually need, organizes them for the stores you shop, and can walk you through cooking a recipe hands-free.
We change and improve the Service over time. Features may be added, altered, or retired. We will not remove a paid feature that is central to the plan you are paying for without telling you first.
You need an account to use PrepPeasy. You must be at least 13 years old to create one. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian. The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly let them create accounts.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us at support@preppeasy.com if you believe someone else has access to it. Give us accurate information, and keep your email address current — that is how we reach you about your subscription.
PrepPeasy is built around a shared household. Anyone you invite into your family can see, add to, and edit the shared lists, meals, and recipes in it. Only invite people you are comfortable sharing that with.
PrepPeasy has a free tier and two paid tiers. Both paid tiers are auto-renewing monthly subscriptions:
Prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include any tax that may apply where you live. What each tier includes — in particular the monthly allowance for AI features — is described in the app on the plan screen, and is summarized in Section 4 below.
You can subscribe either through Apple’s In-App Purchase inside the iOS app, or through Stripe on the web at preppeasy.com. The plan you get is the same either way. Where you bought it determines who bills you, where you cancel, and who handles refunds — so it is worth knowing which one you used.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically each month unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
You manage and cancel an Apple subscription in your App Store subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on an iPhone or iPad). We cannot cancel it for you, and deleting the app does not cancel it.
Refunds for Apple purchases are handled by Apple, under Apple’s policies — request one through Apple’s “Report a Problem” process. We are not able to issue a refund for money that was paid to Apple.
Your card is charged by Stripe when you complete checkout, and again on the same day each month until you cancel. You manage the subscription — change the card on file, view invoices, or cancel — through the Stripe customer portal, which you can reach from your account settings.
A web cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep the paid features until then, and you are not billed again. We do not prorate or refund a partial month, except where the law requires it. If something went genuinely wrong — a duplicate charge, a renewal you could not prevent because the Service was down — write to us at support@preppeasy.com and we will look at it in good faith.
Every paid plan renews on its own until you stop it. To stop it: on Apple, turn off auto-renew in App Store subscription settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date; on the web, cancel in the Stripe customer portal at any time before the renewal date. Cancelling does not delete your account or your lists — you simply return to the free tier when the paid period ends.
If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will give you notice before it takes effect and you will have the chance to cancel first. For Apple subscriptions, a price increase follows Apple’s consent rules. Failed payments may cause your paid features to pause until the payment succeeds.
Some parts of PrepPeasy are powered by AI models — importing a recipe from a link, a photo, or a screenshot; understanding what you said when you add something by voice; and the hands-free cooking assistant. These features cost real money to run, so they are metered: each plan includes a monthly allowance of recipe imports and assisted cooking sessions.
The current allowances are published in the app on the plan screen, which is always the authoritative source. When you reach an allowance, the AI feature pauses until your next monthly period or until you move to a higher plan — the rest of the app, including your lists, your saved recipes, and shopping, keeps working normally.
AI output is a suggestion, not an authority. Imported ingredient amounts, substitutions, cooking times, and any nutrition or allergen information can be wrong. Do not rely on PrepPeasy for food safety, allergy, medical, or dietary decisions. Check anything that matters against the original recipe and use your own judgment in the kitchen.
The lists, meals, notes, recipes, photos, and voice captures you put into PrepPeasy are yours. We claim no ownership of them.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, transmit, and process that content only for the purpose of running the Service for you and your family — for example, syncing your list to the other people in your household, or sending recipe text to an AI provider so it can be turned into ingredients. That licence exists so the app can function, and it ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not sell your content, and we do not give it to anyone to train their AI models.
You are responsible for the content you add — including having the right to add it. Recipes are frequently copyrighted; import them for your own household’s use, not to republish someone else’s work.
If you send us feedback or a feature idea, we may use it without obligation to you.
Please do not:
If you break these rules, we may limit, suspend, or close your account. Where it is reasonable, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.
PrepPeasy works alongside services we do not control — Apple, Google, Stripe, our hosting provider, and the AI providers that process recipe text and voice. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. If you connect Google Drive, PrepPeasy can only see the specific files you pick yourself in Google’s file picker; it cannot browse your Drive.
Prices, store availability, and recipe content that comes from outside sources can be out of date or inaccurate. Treat them as a helpful estimate, not a guarantee.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure; that AI output, ingredient parsing, nutrition data, or store prices will be accurate or complete; or that any defect will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PrepPeasy and the people who work on it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or relating to the Service — even if we were told such damages were possible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you actually paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US $50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
You can stop using PrepPeasy at any time. To delete your account and the data in it, email support@preppeasy.com from your account address — see our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel that in App Store subscription settings as well.
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your payment fails and stays unpaid, or if we are required to by law. The sections that by their nature should survive termination — content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law — do survive.
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for changes that materially affect your rights we will give you notice in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which PrepPeasy is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You and we agree that any dispute will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction, except that either of us may bring a claim in small-claims court. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory local consumer protections, this section does not take those rights away from you.
Questions about these Terms, your subscription, or a charge you do not recognize? Email support@preppeasy.com and a real person will read it.
